Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Challenges

Institutional Strength :

Started as private College in 1968 later bifurcated and renamed as Government Girls PG College in 1982, is one of the oldest institutions in the central part of the town and the goodwill acquired by the college over the years.
The institution mainly caters to the needs of the students belonging to disadvantaged sections of society. The empowerment of these students leads to the betterment of their socio-economic conditions which in turn contributes to national development.
The college constantly engages in community age programmes through NSS, NCC
Campus is fully equipped with CCTV Camera for women safety and is Wi-Fi enabled with the internet connectivity being provided through high-speed broadband.
Student feedback is collected, analyzed and executed through an effective mechanism for a better classroom learning experience.
The alumni of the college serve in various capacities as academics, journalists, civil servants, writers, activists, and social workers.

Institutional Weakness :

The college could not utilize to potential to the fullest extent in terms of research and development.
Incentives for the teachers to participate in seminars and workshops are very limited.
The college doesn’t have a Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Complex.
The college needs new lab.
College Building too old so its require new modification as per as current scenario.

Institutional Oppurtunities :

The COVID-19 pandemic has given an opportunity to re-invent modes and methods of teaching. Students and teachers alike have innovated and adapted to new modes of engagement by training in several online platforms like Zoom, WebEx and Google Meet.
Competence to arrange more number of conferences.

Institutional Challenges :

Exploring possibility of collaborative research with research institutions.
Enhancing the communication and employability skills of the students has become a major challenge in the present day industry requirements.
he full potential of Alumni is yet to be tapped.
